Community Shabbat with Rosh Pina

New to the community? New to Rosh Pina? Want a nice and delicious shabbat dinner with new and old friends? On Friday night November 20th, join other new and old faces for dinner at one of our community member’s homes. We will begin the evening with our first Kabbalat Shabbat davening of the year at the Hamilton House. You will meet your hosts after davening and the groups will split up from there.

August 8 Scholar in Residence Welcome Lunch

We are excited to welcome Rachel Rosenthal to our community for a Lunch and Learn on August 8, 2015. She will be helping our community learn the halachic framework for Yom Kippur services in the context of a “partnership minyan” like Rosh Pina.
Rachel Rosenthal is pursuing a PhD in Rabbinic Literature at the Jewish Theological Seminary and serves on the faculty of the Drisha Institute for Jewish Education. A graduate of the Drisha Scholars Circle, she serves on the faculty of Nishma: A Summer of Torah Study at JTS and has taught at Limmud, the 92nd Street Y, the Manhattan JCC and throughout the United States. She holds a BA in Religious Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.

Reserve/Purchase Yom Kippur Tickets

A Yom Kippur ticket is free with a membership donation of at least $180, or can be purchased for $70.  Either way, Yom Kippur tickets must be reserved separately.

Babysitting will be provided in coordination with DC Minyan. The cost is $30 per family for those who have made a membership donation of at least $180 per adult, or $40 per family for all others. Sign up here.

Annual Appeal Contribution

Your contribution to our Annual Appeal serves as your membership for 5776. We request a suggested donation of $180 per adult. This year, a donation at this level or above includes one ticket for Yom Kippur, which may be reserved above. However, as always, a donation of any size is welcome and qualifies for membership.
