Saturday, September 30th
Pesukei D’Zimrah and Shacharit: 9:00 AM
Yizkor: Approximately 12:15 PM
Mincha: 4:50 PM
Neilah: 6:10 PM
Yom Kippur ends and Maariv: 7:32 PM

We will be meeting in the Community Hall of the DCJCC at 1529 16th St NW, Washington, DC 20036. When you walk into the building from the Q street entrance, the room will be directly on the right.

In addition to Rosh Pina’s usual practices, on Yom Kippur, we will be employing “co-leading,” a model used by other partnership minyanim during the High Holidays in which a man and a woman take turns leading the portions of the services.  During Maariv, a woman will lead some of the selichot poems, and during Shacharit and Musaf, women will lead piyyutim (liturgical poems) during the repetition of the Amidah.  Our Yom Kippur services will be fully lay-led, meaning that several people will take turns serving as chazan/chazanit throughout the day.

Machzorim/Prayer Books
We will be providing Birnbaum Yom Kippur machzorim and announcing page numbers for those books.  Of course, you are also welcome to bring your own machzor.

Babysitting will be available during services for those children whose parents have pre-registered them. Parents will be able to register their children for babysitting when purchasing Yom Kippur tickets.

If you have questions about Rosh Pina’s Yom Kippur services, or if you are interested in participating in the service by leading davening, leining, giving a dvar Torah, or receiving an aliyah, please do not hesitate to contact the Yom Kippur Committee at yomkippur@roshpinadc.org.

We look forward to you joining us for Yom Kippur!
